Sickle Cell & Young Stroke Survivors (SCYSS) is a charity that supports children and young people affected by Sickle Cell Disease and childhood stroke. Sickle Cell Disease is a genetic blood disorder that is associated with pain, silent strokes and other severe complications that affect children’s everyday life and their learning ability.It is worse when the child experiences strokes that affect their cognitive learning ability and mobility. As a charity we want to support children and young people who are living with this in their everyday life.
